Governor Nasir El-Rufai has thanked the people of Kaduna state, who trooped out on Saturday to cast their votes in the first electronic voting in Nigeria.
Even though El-Rufai’s All Progressives Congress did not sweep all the seats in the 23 local councils as done by ruling parties in other states, the Governor is thankful all the same for the enthusiasm demonstrated by voters in the state.
“On 12 May 2018, the people of Kaduna State heralded a new chapter in elections in Nigeria. We never doubted that our people will embrace electronic voting. It is my privilege today to thank the people of Kaduna State for the peaceful & orderly conduct of the Local Govt elections”, he said.
