A Medical Don, Dr Adewale Sanni Balogun has canvassed the embracement of modern medicine as opposed to herbal medicine which according to him are not purified. He stated this at the Olashore Founders Day celebration in illoko – ijesha, Osun State.

These conditions he pointed are precursors to the approval of any drug to be used by the public.
He raised skeptical eyebrows to traditional herbal treatment. His words: Majority of herbal Medicines are not purified because no experiment is carried out on them to prove the efficiency of these drugs that are researched and tried on animals first and later on human beings under control conditions. As students, I advise that you take modern drugs more, and for those wishing to study Medicine in the nearest future, I advise that you take the Modern Medical Treatment more seriously”.
He advised the students considering the medical career path to be hardworking, determined, observant to little details, unforgetful, portray love for humanity and sacrifice amongst others. He reiterated that medicine is one of the most competitive courses in the UK and thousands of international students are accepted into medical schools if their grades are fine.
